Clemson vs. Boston College: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Clemson vs. Boston College football game
Game Recap
If the Boston College Eagles were expecting to get some payback for the 34-28 defeat against the Clemson Tigers when they previously met last October, then they were left disappointed. The Eagles didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 19-13 to Clemson on Saturday. That's the fewest points BC has scored all year.
Clemson can attribute much of their success to RB Kobe Pace, who rushed for one TD and 125 yards on 19 carries. This was the first time Pace has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year. WR Joseph Ngata also helped out with an impressive 111 receiving yards in the win.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 13. K B.T. Potter delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
BC's only offensive touchdown came from RB Pat Garwo III.
With their first loss of the season, BC fell to 4-1. The victory improved the Tigers' record to 3-2.
The Eagles can take some time to mend their wounds since their next matchup isn't for a while. They will face the NC State Wolfpack at Alumni Stadium at noon ET in two weeks. Both of those teams have allowed few points on average (BC 16.8, NC State 15.8), so any points scored will be well earned. As for Clemson, they will go up against the Syracuse Orange at 7 p.m. ET in two weeks at Carrier Dome.
