Coastal Carolina vs. Louisiana-Monroe Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Coastal Carolina vs. Louisiana-Monroe football game
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. Louisiana-Monroe and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will face off in a Sun Belt battle at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Brooks Stadium. If the contest is anything like the Warhawks' 45-42 victory from their previous meeting in November of 2019, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Louisiana-Monroe was able to grind out a solid win over the Troy Trojans last week, winning 29-16.
Meanwhile, when you finish with 387 more yards than your opponent like Coastal Carolina did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They steamrolled past the Massachusetts Minutemen 53-3 at home. With Coastal Carolina ahead 36 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already. Coastal Carolina QB Grayson McCall was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 162 yards on 14 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.
Louisiana-Monroe have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 34.50 point spread they are up against. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.
The wins brought the Warhawks up to 2-1 and the Chanticleers to 4-0. Two defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Louisiana-Monroe is 235th worst in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, with 324.3 on average. Coastal Carolina has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 209th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up eight on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
