Colorado State vs. Wyoming updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Thursday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado State vs. Wyoming football game
Game Recap
After a dominant win in their matchup last week, the Wyoming Cowboys were humbled on Thursday. They took a 34-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colorado State Rams. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Colorado State apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played, back in November of last year.
Colorado State QB Patrick O'Brien was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 255 yards on 26 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Colorado State's CB Marshaun Cameron got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the first quarter into a touchdown.
The Rams' defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed Wyoming's offensive line to sack QB Levi Williams six times for a loss of 14 yards. Leading the way was DE Manny Jones and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Jones.
The losing side was boosted by RB Xazavian Valladay, who rushed for one TD and 147 yards on 28 carries.
The defeat dropped Wyoming's record to 1-2. The win got Colorado State back to even at 1-1.
Wyoming will square off against the Air Force Falcons at 10 p.m. ET next week at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. The defensive coordinators will surely put in extra hours ahead of this game since these teams' offenses combined for 949 yards this week. As for the Rams, they will face off against the Boise State Broncos at 8 p.m. ET next Thursday at Albertsons Stadium.
