There's only one undefeated team left on the FBS level thanks to Wisconsin.
The Badgers handed Western Michigan its first loss of the season, beating the Broncos 24-16 in the Cotton Bowl. While Western Michigan did everything it could to hang around with Wisconsin for 60 minutes, in the end, every time the Broncos needed a stop Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli was there to crush their hopes.
Fumagalli finished the day with 83 yards and a touchdown on six receptions, the most impressive of which was probably this one.
Is that catch even more impressive after you learn Fumagalli only has nine fingers?
The Wisconsin tight end wasn't the only player making a statement with strong catches. Western Michigan's Corey Davis pulled down this touchdown grab to give the Broncos a chance late in the fourth quarter. It was a desperation heave by Zach Terrell on fourth down, and you can get away with it when you have a guy who will likely be a first round draft pick to throw your prayer up to.
Unfortunately for Western Michigan, after cutting it to a one-score game, Wisconsin recovered an onside kick. Wisconsin was then able to pick up a key first down when Bart Houston found -- who else? -- Troy Fumagalli for 26 yards on a third-and-8. The conversion allowed Wisconsin to run out the rest of the clock and get the win.
