Duke vs. Miami (FL) Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Duke vs. Miami (FL) football game
Get ready for an ACC battle as the Miami (FL) Hurricanes and the Duke Blue Devils will face off at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Miami (FL) will be strutting in after a win while Duke will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Hurricanes bagged a 38-26 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies last week. Miami (FL)'s QB Tyler Van Dyke did his thing and passed for three TDs and 357 yards on 33 attempts. Near the top of the highlight reel was Van Dyke's 75-yard TD bomb to WR Brashard Smith in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, the night started off rough for Duke last Thursday, and it ended that way, too. They took a serious blow against the Louisville Cardinals, falling 62-22. Duke was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35-9. A silver lining for them was the play of QB Riley Leonard, who accumulated 99 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 70 yards. Leonard hadn't helped his team much against Virginia Tech two weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
Special teams collected ten points for the Blue Devils. K Charlie Ham delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
The Hurricanes are the favorite in this one, with an expected 21.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 2-4 against the spread when favored.
Miami (FL) is now 6-5 while Duke sits at 3-8. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Miami (FL) is stumbling into the matchup with the 211th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 21 on the season. Duke has experienced some passing struggles of their own as they are 247th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 29 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
