After a string of six wins dating back to last season, Duke's good fortune finally ran out two Saturdays ago. They fell 21-14 to Notre Dame. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Duke in their matchups with Notre Dame: they've now lost three in a row.
North Carolina State is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. With their first loss of the season, Duke fell to 4-1.
