East Carolina vs. Tulane updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the East Carolina vs. Tulane football game
An American Athletic battle is on tap between the Tulane Green Wave and the East Carolina Pirates at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. East Carolina will be strutting in after a victory while Tulane will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Green Wave came within a touchdown against the UAB Blazers last week, but they wound up with a 28-21 loss.
Meanwhile, East Carolina sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 win over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers last week. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit.
Tulane is the favorite in this one, with an expected 4-point margin of victory. Now might not be the best time to take Tulane against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.
The Green Wave are now 1-3 while the Pirates sit at 2-2. A pair of defensive stats to keep an eye on: Tulane is stumbling into the matchup with the 239th most touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 20 on the season. East Carolina has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 239th worst in the nation in passing yards allowed per game, with 327.8 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
