Eastern Michigan vs. Texas State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Eastern Michigan vs. Texas State football game
The Texas State Bobcats will square off against the Eastern Michigan Eagles at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday at Rynearson Stadium. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Texas State now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
The Bobcats came up short against the Incarnate Word Cardinals last week, falling 42-34. What made the defeat an especially bitter pill for Texas State to swallow was that they had been favored by 10.5 points coming into the contest.
Meanwhile, EMU had a touchdown and change to spare in a 42-28 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen last week.
Texas State is now 1-2 while EMU sits at a mirror-image 2-1. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Bobcats are stumbling into the game with the 192nd most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up six on the season. The Eagles have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 224th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with eight on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
