Alabama and Georgia meet for the third time in the last five SEC Championship Games when they take the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Crimson Tide won their previous two SEC Championship meetings, however, Nick Saban was the head coach during those contests, and that won't be the case Saturday. Kalen DeBoer, in his second season at Alabama, coaches in his first SEC Championship Game, while Kirby Smart coaches in his eighth SEC title game in 10 years with the Bulldogs.
Georgia has played in four straight SEC Championship Games, winning the two years it hasn't played Alabama. Smart is 3-4 in SEC Championship Games, but 0-3 against Alabama in the title game. Georgia is a 2.5-point favorite in the latest SEC Championship Game odds at Fanatics Sportsbook, with an over/under set at 48 points.
No. 11 BYU takes on No. 4 Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship Game at 12 p.m. ET, with BYU likely needing a win to secure the automatic berth to the CFP as the only way to make the 12-team field. Texas Tech is favored by 12.5 points, and if the Red Raiders lose, they will put their CFP berth at risk as well, despite currently being ranked No. 4 in the polls. No. 1 Ohio State is favored by 4.5 points in the Big Ten Championship Game against No. 2 Indiana in matchup of 12-0 teams. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code CBSFAN here:
