Live scores, highlights and updates from the FIU vs. Florida Atlantic football game
Through 3 Quarters
The Florida Atlantic Owls are just one quarter away from delivering their fans the win they've been expecting all week. It's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the FIU Panthers as Florida Atlantic lead 24-10. The Owls have been led by QB Javion Posey, who so far has passed for two TDs and 80 yards on 16 attempts in addition to picking up 119 yards on the ground.
With four sacks, the Florida Atlantic defense has been a true menace for FIU's offensive line. We'll see if Florida Atlantic can continue to haunt the offensive line.

Current Records: Florida Atlantic 3-1; FIU 0-3
What to Know
The FIU Panthers are 1-4 against the Florida Atlantic Owls since October of 2015, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Friday. FIU's week off comes to an end as they meet up with Florida Atlantic at 7 p.m. ET at Riccardo Silva Stadium. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Panthers nows face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
FIU scored first but ultimately less than the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in their contest three weeks ago. FIU came up short against Jacksonville State, falling 19-10. What made the loss an especially bitter pill for FIU to swallow was that they had been favored by 10 points coming into the game. QB Stone Norton had a pretty forgettable game, fumbling the ball once with only 66 yards passing.
Meanwhile, the Owls didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers last week, but they still walked away with a 10-6 win.
The Panthers are now 0-3 while Florida Atlantic sits at 3-1. Two offensive stats to keep an eye on: FIU is stumbling into the matchup with the eighth fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 95.7 on average. Florida Atlantic has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 12th worst in the nation in yards per game, with only 288.5 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
