Florida Atlantic vs. Marshall Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida Atlantic vs. Marshall football game
Game Recap
The Florida Atlantic Owls entered their contest against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Florida Atlantic took a 28-13 bruising from Marshall. The Owls haven't found any success against Marshall since Nov. 3 of 2017, this defeat making it four in a row.
Marshall's RB Rasheen Ali did his thing and punched in two rushing touchdowns. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget WR Jayden Harrison, who went all the way with a kickoff return for touchdown in the first quarter?
Marshall's defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed Florida Atlantic's offensive line to sack QB N'Kosi Perry six times for a total loss of 31 yards. The heavy lifting was done by DL Owen Porter and DL Koby Cumberlander, who each racked up two sacks.
The losing side was boosted by RB Johnny Ford, who picked up 140 yards on the ground on 14 carries.
The Owls' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. The victory improved the Thundering Herd's record to 6-3.
Florida Atlantic will take on the Old Dominion Monarchs at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. Marshall will be playing at home against the UAB Blazers at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday. Marshall is 4-1 after wins this year, UAB 2-3.
