Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida vs. South Carolina football game
Game Recap
Saturday, the South Carolina Gamecocks were out to avenge their 38-27 loss to the Florida Gators from their previous meeting earlier this month, but they had no such luck. The Gamecocks fell to Florida 38-24. USC hasn't found any success against Florida since Nov. 11 of 2017, this defeat making it three in a row.
Florida QB Kyle Trask was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 268 yards on 29 attempts. Trask's 57-yard touchdown toss to RB Kadarius Toney in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the day. TE Kyle Pitts was in the mix, too, providing Florida with two touchdowns.
South Carolina's loss came about despite a quality game from RB Kevin Harris, who rushed for one TD and 100 yards on 22 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
The contest pushed USC down to 0-1 and pulled the Gators up to the reverse at 1-0.
The Gamecocks are on the road again next week and play against the Vanderbilt Commodores at noon ET Oct. 10 at Vanderbilt Stadium. As for Florida, they will face off against the Texas A&M Aggies at 1 p.m. ET next week at Kyle Field.
