You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Fresno State Bulldogs' strategy against the Cal Poly Mustangs on Saturday. The Bulldogs steamrolled past Cal Poly 63-10 at home.
The game started off well for Fresno State, whose offense put up 35 first-half points. Cal Poly countered with 10 points. Fresno State put the contest away in the third quarter with 21 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Fresno State's win brought them up to 2-1. The loss dropped the Mustangs back to even at 1-1.
The Bulldogs will take on the UCLA Bruins at 10:45 p.m. ET next Saturday at Rose Bowl. UCLA is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 38-27 victory over the LSU Tigers last week. Cal Poly will take on the South Dakota Coyotes at 8:05 p.m. ET next Saturday at home.
