Fresno State vs. Nevada updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Fresno State vs. Nevada football game
Game Recap
After losing to the Nevada Wolf Pack the last time they met, the Fresno State Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Fresno State had just enough and edged out Nevada 34-32.
The Bulldogs can attribute much of their success to RB Jordan Mims, who rushed for one TD and 134 yards on 23 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. QB Jake Haener had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
Special teams collected ten points for Fresno State. K Cesar Silva booted in two field goals, the longest a 46-yarder in the fourth quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the contest.
WR Romeo Doubs put forth a good effort for the losing side as he caught 20 passes for one TD and 204 yards.
The win improved Fresno State's record to 6-2. The defeat dropped Nevada's record to 5-2.
The Bulldogs will square off against the San Diego State Aztecs at 10:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park. San Diego State's offense will need to be on point to get points against Fresno State's defense, which is averaging only 15.71 points allowed per game. Nevada will take on the UNLV Rebels at 10 p.m. ET next Friday at home. Like Nevada, UNLV is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 27-20 to the San Jose State Spartans.
