Fresno State vs. Washington State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Fresno State vs. Washington State football game
The Fresno State Bulldogs and the Washington State Cougars have had some time off and are no doubt ready to hit the field. Bowl season is underway, and the Bulldogs and Washington State will compete for postseason bragging rights in the LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Fresno State will be strutting in after a victory while the Cougars will be stumbling in from a loss.
Fresno State had a touchdown and change to spare in a 28-16 win over the Boise State Broncos two weeks ago. Fresno State's RB Jordan Mims did his thing and punched in two rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Washington State lost to the Washington Huskies at home by a decisive 51-33 margin. Despite the defeat, Washington State got a solid performance out of RB Nakia Watson, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
The Bulldogs are the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Fresno State ranks 19th in the nation when it comes to passing touchdowns allowed, with only 14 on the season. As for Washington State, they come into the game boasting the 35th fewest rushing yards allowed per game in the nation at 127.5.
