Danielson, who will call Saturday’s Georgia-Florida game with Verne Lundquist at 3:30 p.m. ET, said he bets Georgia’s defensive players “are shocked at how they’re playing, especially with the number of returning players after last year’s run to the SEC Championship Game.
“The second area of concern is a deficiency at offensive tackle,” Danielson added. “They’re competent, but not great.”
Georgia QB Aaron Murray “has yet to win the big game,” Danielson continued. “He showed last week that he might be ready to carry the team. He’ll need to because you can’t beat Florida just running the ball.”
As for the Gators, Danielson said they “create pressure points on offense with tight end Jordan Reed and slash back Trey Burton. They have both made a world of difference to this Florida offense. And their punter Kyle Christy has been a huge tie-breaker. It will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs can neutralize those factors.”
The Bulldogs won last year’s matchup 24-20. It was just their fourth win in the last 22 meetings.
No. 3 Florida would clinch the SEC East with a win over No. 12 Georgia.
