Georgia Tech vs. Boston College updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia Tech vs. Boston College football game
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Boston College Eagles are set to square off in an ACC matchup at 3:30 p.m. ET Nov. 13 at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field. BC will be strutting in after a victory while the Yellow Jackets will be stumbling in from a loss.
It was close but no cigar for Georgia Tech as they fell 33-30 to the Miami (FL) Hurricanes last week. The losing side was boosted by RB Jahmyr Gibbs, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD. One of the most thrilling moments was Gibbs' 50-yard TD reception in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, BC had a touchdown and change to spare in a 17-3 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies last Friday. BC can attribute much of their success to RB Pat Garwo III, who rushed for one TD and 116 yards on 30 carries, and QB Phil Jurkovec, who accumulated 112 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 65 yards.
This next contest is expected to be close, with Georgia Tech going off at just a 2-point favorite. But bettors beware: they are 0-3 against the spread when favored.
The Yellow Jackets are now 3-6 while the Eagles sit at 5-4. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Georgia Tech is 227th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 20 on the season. BC has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the matchup with the 162nd most rushing yards allowed per game in the nation, having given up 171.9 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
