Georgia Tech vs. Ole Miss: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia Tech vs. Ole Miss football game
The Ole Miss Rebels have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field. Ole Miss won't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy a 16.5-point advantage in the spread.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for the Rebels last week. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 59-3 victory over the Central Arkansas Bears. With Ole Miss ahead 31 to nothing at the half, the game was all but over already. Ole Miss' TE Michael Trigg was one of the most active players for the squad, snatching three receiving TDs. Trigg hadn't helped his team much against the Troy Trojans two weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround for him.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between Georgia Tech and the Western Carolina Catamounts last week was still a pretty decisive one as Georgia Tech wrapped it up with a 35-17 win at home. The team accrued 28 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory. RB Dontae Smith was the offensive standout of the game for Georgia Tech, rushing for three TDs and 102 yards on 11 carries. Smith put himself on the highlight reel with a 51-yard TD scramble in the first quarter.
Their wins bumped the Rebels to 2-0 and the Yellow Jackets to 1-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Ole Miss and Georgia Tech clash.
