Georgia vs. Charleston Southern Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia vs. Charleston Southern football game
The Georgia Bulldogs will take on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers at noon ET on Saturday at home. UGA has a defense that allows only 7.6 points per game, so Charleston Southern's offense will have their work cut out for them.
The Bulldogs were the big favorite in their most recent contest, and for good reason. They put the hurt on the Tennessee Volunteers with a sharp 41-17 win. RB James Cook had a stellar game for UGA as he rushed for two TDs and 104 yards on ten carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. This was the first time Cook has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year. Cook's sharp performance also set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
UGA's defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed Tennessee's offensive line to sack the QB six times for a total loss of 57 yards. Leading the way was LB Channing Tindall and his three sacks. Tindall now has four sacks through ten games.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Buccaneers ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 32-24 victory over the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit.
Their wins bumped the Bulldogs to 10-0 and Charleston Southern to 4-5. Watch the game and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
