Georgia vs. Missouri: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Georgia vs. Missouri football game
The Georgia Bulldogs are 6-0 against the Missouri Tigers since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. UGA and Mizzou will face off in an SEC battle at noon ET at Sanford Stadium. The Bulldogs are out to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
The Florida Gators typically have all the answers at home, but last week UGA proved too difficult a challenge. UGA was the clear victor by a 34-7 margin over Florida. With UGA ahead 24 to nothing at the half, the contest was all but over already. Their RB Zamir White looked sharp as he rushed for one TD and 105 yards on 14 carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time White has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
The Tigers decided to play defense against itself last week, but the squad still came out ahead despite their 100 penalty yards. They beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 37-28. RB Tyler Badie went supernova for Mizzou as he rushed for two TDs and 254 yards on 31 carries. Badie's longest run was for 73 yards in the fourth quarter.
Special teams collected 13 points for Mizzou. K Harrison Mevis delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
UGA is the favorite in this one, with an expected 38.5-point (!) margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (4-2), so they might be worth a quick bet.
UGA is now a perfect 8-0 while the Tigers sit at 4-4. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: The Bulldogs are stumbling into the matchup with the 169th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown five on the season. Mizzou has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 211th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown seven on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
