3rd Quarter Report
After a tough loss on the road their last time out, Hawaii looks much better today on their home field. They have a bit of a cushion as they currently lead Colorado State 21-10. Hawaii took a big hit to their ego last Saturday, so a victory here would be a pleasant pick-me-up.
Hawaii came into the contest with some extra motivation after the defeat they were dealt the last time these two teams faced off. We'll see if they're able to flip the script or if it'll just be more of the same.
Preview
Hawaii will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the Colorado State Rams at 11:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Hawaii gave up the first points and the most points on Saturday. It's going to take some time for them to recover from the 42-9 bruising that Wyoming dished out on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Colorado State beat Nevada 30-20 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Colorado State.
Colorado State got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi out in front who threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Justin Marshall and his 98 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Colorado State's victory.
Wyoming's victory bumped their season record to 7-4 while Hawaii's defeat dropped theirs to 4-8.
While only Colorado State took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. As for their next game, Colorado State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 5.5 points. Neither team has fared well against the spread this season; Hawaii is 4-8, while Colorado State is 4-7.
Hawaii came up short against Colorado State in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 17-13. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Colorado State's Avery Morrow, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Now that Hawaii knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
