Illinois vs. Toledo updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Illinois vs. Toledo football game
The Illinois Fighting Illini will host the Toledo Rockets to start their respective 2023 campaigns. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. ET on September 2nd at Memorial Stadium.
Toledo were ranked 118th in the nation in throwing interceptions last season, with 15 over the course of the season. Illinois, on the other hand, had no problem: they finished last season ranked fourth with five in total.
Toledo will be fighting an uphill battle on Saturday as the experts have pegged them as the 9-point underdog. They finished last season with a 5-9 record against the spread.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Toledo considering the team didn't win a single game as the underdog last year. Betting on them to win was the most profitable play last year, as bettors who put $100 on that outcome in every game walked away with $701.97. Illinois will open their season as the favorite, and the team was 6-2 as such last season.
