Indiana vs. Maryland: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Indiana vs. Maryland football game
Game Recap
If the Maryland Terrapins were expecting to get some payback for the 34-28 defeat against the Indiana Hoosiers when they previously met last October, then they were left disappointed. Saturday, the Terrapins lost to IU on the road by a decisive 27-11 margin. Maryland hasn't found any success against IU since Oct. 28 of 2017, this loss making it three in a row.
RB Stevie Scott III had only a few touches last week, but he got the ball a lot more this time and made it count. Among those leading the charge for IU was Scott III, who punched in three rushing touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Scott III has had all year. RB Tim Baldwin Jr. and his 106 yards on the ground were another key factor in IU's win.
Maryland's defeat came about despite a quality game from WR Dontay Demus Jr., who caught six passes for one TD and 114 yards.
The loss dropped the Terrapins back to even at 2-2. The victory improved the Hoosiers' record to 5-1.
Maryland is staying on the road next week to face off against the Michigan Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. ET Dec. 5 at Michigan Stadium. Maryland is 1-0 after losses this season, Michigan 1-2. As for IU, they will go up against the Wisconsin Badgers at 3:30 p.m. ET next week at Camp Randall Stadium. Unlike IU, Wisconsin will be stumbling in off of a loss.
