The Outback Bowl between Iowa and Florida was billed as a defensive battle, and the Hawkeyes made sure to hold up their end of the bargain on the Gators' first two offensive possessions.
Florida ran eight plays in the first two possessions, with both ending in tipped-ball interceptions thrown by quarterback Austin Appleby. The first was a deep-post attempt that was tipped in the air and then caught by a diving Brandon Snyder.
The second interception was somehow even crazier as Desmond King was able to stay with the ball as it bounced in the air, off his thigh and then into his hands for an interception that set Iowa up for the first points of the game on a field goal.
