Live scores, highlights and updates from the Iowa State vs. Kansas football game
Game Recap
The Iowa State Cyclones were hampered by 85 penalty yards against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, but luckily for them that wasn't the tale of the game. Iowa State walked away with a 41-31 victory. That's another feather in the cap for them, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
QB Brock Purdy had a stellar game for the Cyclones as he passed for 372 yards and four TDs on 42 attempts. WR La'Michael Pettway was in the mix, too, providing Iowa State with two touchdowns.
The losing side was boosted by RB Pooka Williams Jr., who picked up 154 yards on the ground on 19 carries and snatched one receiving TD.
The Cyclones' win brought them up to 6-4. Kansas' overall record now falls to 3-7.
Iowa State will square off against the Kansas State Wildcats at 11:11 a.m. ET next week at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Kansas will be playing at home against the Baylor Bears at 11:11 a.m. ET.
