Kansas State vs. UCF updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas State vs. UCF football game
The Kansas State Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the UCF Knights at 8:00 p.m. ET at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
There was early excitement for Kansas State after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, but it was Missouri who ended up claiming the real prize. Kansas State fell just short of Missouri by a score of 30-27. The loss put an end to Kansas State's undefeated start to the season.
Kansas State's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of QB Will Howard, who threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns, and TE Ben Sinnott who picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns tied a season-high mark for Howard.
Meanwhile, fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Villanova 48-14 at home. UCF pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Villanova had no chance of recovering from.
UCF's success was spearheaded by the efforts of RB RJ Harvey, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and QB Timmy McClain, who threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns. McClain wound up with a passer rating of 191.3. RB Jordan McDonald also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Looking ahead, the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 6.5 points. This contest will be Kansas State's third straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-1 against the spread).
While Kansas State are hoping for a better result this time, UCF are hoping to keep the momentum going. Check CBS Sports after the contest to see if Kansas State can succeed or if UCF can keep it going.
