Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas vs. TCU football game
Game Recap
After a disappointing 6 points in their last game, the TCU Horned Frogs made sure to put some points up on the board against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday. The Horned Frogs steamrolled past Kansas 59-23 on the road. That looming 36-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for TCU yet this year.
The TCU offense pulled no punches in the first half and blazed their way to 38 points. Kansas wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 38-12 heading into the break. The offense for TCU continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.
TCU's QB Max Duggan was on fire, passing for three TDs and 96 yards on 11 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 61 yards. One of the most memorable plays of the contest was Duggan's 58-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. TCU's CB C.J. Ceasar II got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the fourth quarter into a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, the Jayhawks had strong showings from WR Luke Grimm, who snatched two receiving TDs, and WR Kwamie Lassiter II, who caught seven passes for one TD and 116 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game that Lassiter II has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
The win got the Horned Frogs back to even at 4-4. Kansas still hasn't won a matchup and fell to 0-8.
