Kentucky vs. Iowa Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kentucky vs. Iowa football game
Bowl season is underway, and the Kentucky Wildcats and the Iowa Hawkeyes will compete for postseason bragging rights in the Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. UK should still be riding high after a big win, while Iowa will be looking to regain their footing.
The Wildcats took their contest against the Louisville Cardinals five weeks ago by a conclusive 52-21 score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point UK had established a 38-7 advantage. QB Will Levis had a dynamite game for UK; he accumulated 149 passing yards in addition to rushing for four TDs and 113 yards. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Levis has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season. Not surprisingly, Levis' sharp performance also set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Meanwhile, the night started off rough for Iowa four weeks ago, and it ended that way, too. They took a serious blow against the Michigan Wolverines, falling 42-3.
This next game is expected to be close, with the Wildcats going off at just a 3-point favorite. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (4-2), so they might be worth a quick bet.
A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: UK is 205th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown 12 on the season. The Hawkeyes have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the game with the 150th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown eight on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
