New Mexico State have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Liberty Flames at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Williams Stadium. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you post 399 more yards than your opponent, a fact New Mexico State proved on Saturday. New Mexico State was the clear victor by a 58-21 margin over Western Illinois. New Mexico State pushed the score to 37-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Western Illinois had littlechance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, Liberty took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They secured a 34-24 W over Bowling Green.
New Mexico State will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with an 8-5 record against the spread.
New Mexico State steamrolled past Liberty in their previous matchup last November by a score of 49-14. Will New Mexico State repeat their success, or do Liberty have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
