Game Recap

The Troy Trojans were the 35-27 winners over the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks when they previously met in September of 2018. On Saturday? They had no such luck. The Trojans came up short against Louisiana-Monroe, falling 29-16. If the result catches you off guard, it should: Troy was far and away the favorite.

The loss dropped Troy back to even at 2-2. Louisiana-Monroe's win brought them up to 2-1.

Troy will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. The Trojans are 1-0 after losses this year, USC 0-1. As for the Warhawks, they will face off against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at 2:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Brooks Stadium. If the matchup is anything like Louisiana-Monroe's 45-42 victory from their previous meeting in November of 2019, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
