Louisiana vs. Texas State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisiana vs. Texas State football game
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are 6-0 against the Texas State Bobcats since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Louisiana and Texas State will face off in a Sun Belt battle at noon ET at Cajun Field. The Ragin' Cajuns are out to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Louisiana slipped by the Arkansas State Red Wolves 28-27 last week.
Meanwhile, Texas State was first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against the Georgia State Panthers last week. Texas State fell to Georgia State 28-16. The Bobcats' only offensive touchdown came on a rush from QB Brady McBride.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed ten. K Seth Keller delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
The Ragin' Cajuns are the favorite in this one, with an expected 21.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 1-3 against the spread when favored.
Louisiana's win brought them up to 6-1 while Texas State's loss pulled them down to 2-5. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: Louisiana is stumbling into the contest with the 197th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 11 on the season. The Bobcats have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 220th worst in the nation in touchdowns allowed, with 25 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
