Louisville vs. Duke: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisville vs. Duke football game
The Louisville Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Duke Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. Louisville will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
The point spread may have favored Louisville two weeks ago, but the final result did not. The contest between Louisville and Pittsburgh wasn't a total blowout, but with Louisville falling 38-21 on the road it was darn close to turning into one. Despite 156 more yards than Pittsburgh, Louisville couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Nobody from Louisville had a standout game, but they got scores from Isaac Guerendo, Jack Plummer, and Chris Bell.
Meanwhile, Duke might have drawn first blood against Florida State on Saturday, but it was Florida State who got the last laugh. Duke received a tough blow as they fell 38-20 to Florida State.
Jaquez Moore put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped Louisville to 6-1 and Duke to 5-2.
Not only did the pair lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Louisville is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. They might be worth a quick bet since they've sitting on a three game streak of covering the spread when playing at home.
Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. The Cardinals have been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 178.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like the Blue Devils struggle in that department as they've been even better at 197.4 per game. It's looking like Saturday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
