Louisville vs. Notre Dame: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Louisville vs. Notre Dame football game
Louisville is on a eight-game streak of home wins, while Notre Dame is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Louisville Cardinals will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Louisville is still undefeated this season after their game against North Carolina State on Friday, but North Carolina State came as close as anyone has to beating them. Louisville came out on top in a nail-biter against North Carolina State and snuck past 13-10. Kudos to the oddsmakers for accurately forecasting both the winner and the close margin.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed seven in total. Brock Travelstead launched a 53-yard bomb between the uprights in the fourth quarter, which ended up accounting for the difference in the contest.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame earned a 21-14 victory over Duke on Saturday.
Among those leading the charge was Audric Estime, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Those two rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Estime. Mitchell Evans kept the secondary busy, picking up 134 receiving yards.
Louisville's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 5-0, while Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Louisville is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This will be their first time playing as the underdogs this season.
