LSU vs. Wisconsin updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Monday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the LSU vs. Wisconsin football game
LSU has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They and the Wisconsin Badgers will square off in the ReliaQuest Bowl at Raymond James Stadium 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday. One thing working in LSU's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
LSU has more to be thankful for after their contest against Texas A&M back in November. LSU came out on top against Texas A&M by a score of 42-30.
Jayden Daniels had a dynamite game for LSU, throwing for 235 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 120 yards on only 11 carries. Malik Nabers was another key contributor, picking up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
LSU's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Ovie Oghoufo was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin's game back in November was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Minnesota. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wisconsin.
Wisconsin's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tanner Mordecai, who threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns, and Braelon Allen, who rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Allen was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
LSU's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.4 points per game. As for Wisconsin, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
LSU is hoping to beat the odds on Monday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 12-7 against the spread when expected to win.
Monday's matchup might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. The Tigers have been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 213.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like the Badgers struggle in that department as they've been averaging 163.1 rushing yards per game. It's looking like Monday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
