Game Recap
After a dominant victory in their matchup last week, the Marshall Thundering Herd were humbled on Saturday. They were within a late touchdown of stealing the win, but they took the "L" against the East Carolina Pirates 42-38. The Thundering Herd were up 38-21 at the end of the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
The game pushed Marshall down to 2-1 and pulled East Carolina up to the reverse at 1-2.
Marshall will take on the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. East Carolina will be playing at home against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers at 6 p.m. ET next Saturday. Charleston Southern took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse East Carolina's good fortune.
