Marshall vs. North Carolina Central updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Marshall vs. North Carolina Central football game
Game Recap
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Marshall Thundering Herd's strategy against the North Carolina Central Eagles on Saturday. The Thundering Herd blew past North Carolina Central 44-10.
The game started off well for Marshall, whose offense put up 30 first-half points. North Carolina Central countered with 7 points. The Marshall defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the contest.
The victory improved Marshall's record to 2-0. The loss dropped North Carolina Central back to even at 1-1.
The Thundering Herd have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the East Carolina Pirates at 6 p.m. ET Sept. 18 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. East Carolina took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Marshall's good fortune. The Eagles will take on the Winston-Salem Rams at 6 p.m. ET next Saturday at home.
