Maryland vs. Michigan updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Maryland vs. Michigan football game
The Maryland Terrapins are 0-4 against the Michigan Wolverines since November of 2016, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Maryland and Michigan will face off in a Big Ten battle at 3:30 p.m. ET at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. The Wolverines should still be riding high after a win, while the Terrapins will be looking to right the ship.
Maryland received a tough blow last week as they fell 40-21 to the Michigan State Spartans. The losing side was boosted by TE Chigoziem Okonkwo, who caught eight passes for two TDs and 112 yards.
Meanwhile, Michigan didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Penn State Nittany Lions last week, but they still walked away with a 21-17 victory. It was another big night for Michigan's RB Hassan Haskins, who picked up 156 yards on the ground on 31 carries.
The Wolverines' defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed the Nittany Lions' offensive line to sack QB Sean Clifford seven times for a total loss of 44 yards. Leading the way was DE Aidan Hutchinson and his 3.5 sacks. Hutchinson now has nine sacks through ten games.
The Terrapins have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 14.50 point spread they are up against. Now might not be the best time to take Maryland against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past six consecutive games.
Maryland is now 5-5 while Michigan sits at 9-1. Michigan is 7-1 after wins this year, and Maryland is 1-3 after losses.
