Miami (FL) vs. Virginia Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Miami (FL) vs. Virginia football game
The Miami (FL) Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Virginia Cavaliers at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium. The two teams worked hard to overcome the odds in their previous battles and are surely both feeling confident heading into this clash.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Miami (FL) ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 28-20 victory over Clemson. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Miami (FL) was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami (FL) to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brashard Smith, who gained 123 total yards. Smith's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
Miami (FL)'s defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Rueben Bain Jr. and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Virginia, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 31-27 victory over North Carolina on Saturday. While the oddsmakers failed to call the winner, they nailed the 58 point over/under.
Virginia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mike Hollins out in front who rushed for 66 yards and three touchdowns. Virginia also got help from Malik Washington who showed off his sure hands for 115 receiving yards.
Miami (FL)'s win pushed their record up to 5-2, while Virginia's bumped their own up to the opposite: 2-5.
Not only did both teams in this Saturday's match win their last matches, they also took care of their bettors and covered the spread. Looking ahead, Miami (FL) is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 19 points. For those looking to play the spread, keep Miami (FL)'s opponent in mind: they have a subpar 1-4 record against the spread vs Virginia over their last five matchups.
Miami (FL) skirted past Virginia 14-12 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Miami (FL) repeat their success, or does Virginia have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
