Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Tuesday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo football game
Game Recap
The Miami (OH) RedHawks lost to the Buffalo Bulls when the two teams previously met in November of last year, but they didn't allow Buffalo the same satisfaction this time around. The RedHawks put the hurt on Buffalo with a sharp 45-18 win. This was the most points they've scored all season.
The game started off well for Miami (OH), whose offense put up 24 first-half points. Buffalo countered with 10 points. Miami (OH) put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
The RedHawks' QB Brett Gabbert did his thing and passed for four TDs and 351 yards on 28 attempts. Gabbert's 58-yard touchdown toss to WR Jack Sorenson in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the night. Miami (OH) also got help from WR Jalen Walker, who showed off his sure hands for 136 receiving yards in the victory.
Miami (OH)'s defense was a presence as well, as it collected one interception and three fumbles. DB John Saunders Jr. picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Buffalo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of WR Quian Williams, who caught nine passes for one TD and 104 yards, and RB Dylan McDuffie, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
The win got Miami (OH) back to even at 5-5. Buffalo has fallen quite a ways from their 6-1 record from last season and are now 4-6.
The RedHawks have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Bowling Green Falcons at noon ET Nov. 16 at Fred C. Yager Stadium. As for the Bulls, they will face off against the Northern Illinois Huskies at 7 p.m. ET next week at UB Stadium.
