Can leadership be taught, or is it something a person is born with? The answer is probably a mixture of both, but the coaching staff at Michigan has found a nice avenue toward giving their players an inside track.
There are currently 22 seniors from the Michigan football team in California undergoing leadership training with the Navy SEALS.
That's Denard Robinson and Roy Roundtree with a couple of Navy SEALS in the photo above.
This isn't the team's first interaction with the SEALS, as a few Navy SEALS spoke to the team in Ann Arbor last season. Michigan players all received a maize and blue trident that symbolized the SEALS values last year.
Coach Brady Hoke established a connection with the SEALS while he was at San Diego State.
