Michigan vs. Nebraska updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Michigan vs. Nebraska football game
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. Nebraska and the Michigan Wolverines will face off in a Big Ten battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Michigan Stadium. Michigan will be strutting in after a victory while the Cornhuskers will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Nebraska might have drawn first blood against the Minnesota Golden Gophers last week, but it was Minnesota who got the last laugh. Nebraska fell to the Golden Gophers 20-13. Despite the loss, Nebraska got a solid performance out of RB Anthony Grant, who picked up 115 yards on the ground on 21 carries.
Meanwhile, the Wolverines' matchup against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights last week was close at halftime, but Michigan turned on the heat in the second half with 38 points. Michigan put a hurting on RU on the road to the tune of 52-17. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Michigan had established a 42-17 advantage. RB Donovan Edwards and RB Blake Corum were among the main playmakers for Michigan as the former picked up 109 yards on the ground on 15 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD and the latter rushed for two TDs and 109 yards on 20 carries.
Nebraska have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 31-point spread they are up against. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
It was close but no cigar for the Cornhuskers as they fell 32-29 to the Wolverines when the two teams previously met in October of last year. Can Nebraska avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll soon find out.
