Middle Tenn. vs. Marshall: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Middle Tenn. vs. Marshall football game
Game Recap
The Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders stumbled on the road last week against the Charlotte 49ers, but they seem to have regained their footing back home. Middle Tenn. managed a 34-28 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday. For the Blue Raiders, this is just revenge for the 42-14 defeat they suffered against Marshall the last time they faced one another on Nov. 14 of last year.
Middle Tenn.'s offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Marshall countered with 14 points. Middle Tenn. was outperformed in the second half 14-6 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
The victory bumped Middle Tenn.'s record up to 2-3. The loss dropped the Thundering Herd's record to an identical 2-3.
The Blue Raiders will take on the Liberty Flames at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Williams Stadium. Middle Tenn. will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 14.6 points per game. Marshall will be playing at home against the Old Dominion Monarchs at 2 p.m. ET next Saturday. Old Dominion also suffered a recent defeat, falling 20-14 to the UTEP Miners on Saturday.
