The Mississippi State Bulldogs will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will square off against the Tennessee State Tigers at noon ET on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. MSU will be strutting in after a win while Tennessee State will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Bulldogs beat the Auburn Tigers 43-34 last week. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 28-10 deficit. MSU's QB Will Rogers was on fire, passing for six TDs and 415 yards on 55 attempts.
Meanwhile, Tennessee State entered their contest against the Austin Peay Governors last week without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Things couldn't have gone much worse for Tennessee State as they lost 36-7. They were down 26 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Tennessee State's loss took them down to 5-5 while Mississippi State's win pulled them up to 6-4. We'll see if Tennessee State can steal the Bulldogs' luck or if MSU records another victory instead.
