Missouri vs. Florida updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. Florida football game
Game Recap
The Florida Gators fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 24-23. The Gators didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the 9-point advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
It was another big night for Mizzou's RB Tyler Badie, who rushed for one TD and 146 yards on 27 carries. One of those touchdowns came as the clock expired to put the Tigers in the lead for good. Working against them was the performance of QB Connor Bazelak, who passed for only 165 yards on 25 attempts.
Special teams collected ten points for Mizzou. K Harrison Mevis booted in three field goals, the longest a 46-yarder in the second quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the contest.
Florida's loss came about despite a quality game from QB Emory Jones, who accumulated 261 passing yards in addition to picking up 45 yards on the ground and snatching one receiving TD.
The matchup pushed Florida down to 5-6 and pulled Mizzou up to the reverse at 6-5.
Florida will take on the Florida State Seminoles at noon ET next Saturday at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. As for the Tigers, they will go up against the Arkansas Razorbacks at 3:30 p.m. ET next Friday at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. If the matchup is anything like Mizzou's 50-48 win from their previous meeting in December of last year, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
