Missouri vs. LSU updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. LSU football game
Missouri will enjoy home-field advantage against Mississippi on Saturday, and one look at the spread shows that they’ll need it. They will take on the LSU Tigers at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. Missouri will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Missouri put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They took down Vanderbilt 38-21.
Brady Cook went supernova for Missouri, throwing for 395 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80.5% of his passes. Those 395 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Cook. Luther Burden III also helped out as he racked up 140 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, LSU pushed their score all the way to 49 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ole Miss. LSU didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
LSU's loss came about despite a quality game from Jayden Daniels, who threw for 414 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. Daniels was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Brian Thomas Jr. was another key contributor, picking up 124 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Missouri's win lifted them to 5-0 while LSU's loss dropped them down to 3-2.
As mentioned, LSU is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by six points. This contest will be their fifth straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-3 against the spread).
