Missouri vs. LSU updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. LSU football game
Game Recap
After a dominant win in their contest three weeks ago, the LSU Tigers were humbled two weeks ago. They were within a late touchdown of stealing the victory, but they took the "L" against the Missouri Tigers 45-41. What made the defeat an especially bitter pill for LSU to swallow was that they had been favored by 14.5 points coming into the game.
QB Connor Bazelak hadn't helped Mizzou's cause all that much against the Tennessee Volunteers three weeks ago, but the same can't be said for this matchup. Mizzou Bazelak was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 406 yards on 34 attempts. RB Tyler Badie was in the mix, too, providing Mizzou with two touchdowns.
WR Terrace Marshall Jr. put forth a good effort for the losing side as he caught 11 passes for three TDs and 235 yards. Myles Brennan's 75-yard touchdown toss to Marshall Jr. in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the day.
LSU's loss pushed them down to 1-2. The victory bumped Mizzou's record up to an identical 1-2.
LSU will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against the South Carolina Gamecocks at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday at Tiger Stadium. USC is 1-0 after wins this season, and LSU is 1-0 after losses. Mizzou will play host again and welcome the Kentucky Wildcats to Faurot Field, where kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. Mizzou isn't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them this last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
