Missouri vs. Memphis updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. Memphis football game
The Memphis Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Missouri Tigers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at The Dome at America's Center. Memphis will be looking to extend their current 4-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Memphis' game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily it didn't stay that way. They secured a 28-24 W over Navy.
RB Blake Watson was on fire, as he rushed for 169 yards and one touchdown. Watson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. It was a true group effort though, as the team also got help from QB Seth Henigan, who rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Missouri were not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kansas State and snuck past 30-27.
Missouri relied on the efforts of WR Luther Burden III, who picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and QB Brady Cook, who threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns. Cook is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in at least one in the last three games he's played. Missouri also relied on K Harrison Mevis, who's 61-yard boot in the fourth quarter wound up being the difference in the game.
Memphis will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This will be their first time playing a team that currently has a winning record this season.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-0. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when these two teams clash.
