Missouri vs. Vanderbilt updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. Vanderbilt football game
Game Recap
The Missouri Tigers got themselves on the board against the Vanderbilt Commodores Saturday, but Vanderbilt never followed suit. Mizzou steamrolled past the Commodores 41 to nothing at home. That 41-point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers on the season.
RB Larry Rountree III had a stellar game for Mizzou as he rushed for three TDs and 160 yards on 21 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Rountree III has had all year. QB Connor Bazelak also helped out by tossing the rock for 318 yards.
Mizzou's defense was a presence as well, as it got past Vanderbilt's offensive line to sack the quarterback four times for a total loss of 23 yards. It was a group effort with four guys contributing.
The win makes it two in a row for the Tigers and bumps their record up to 4-3. The Commodores still haven't won a matchup and fell to 0-8.
Mizzou will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks at 1 p.m. ET next week at home. Arkansas took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Missouri's good fortune. Vanderbilt will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to Sanford Stadium at noon ET next week. Neither they nor the Georgia Bulldogs could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
