MIZZ vs. TENN: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. Tennessee football game
Game Recap
The Tennessee Volunteers ran circles around the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, and the extra yardage (521 yards vs. 272 yards) paid off. Tennessee secured a 24-20 W over Mizzou. For the Volunteers, this is just revenge for the 50-17 loss they suffered against Mizzou the last time they faced one another Nov. 17 of last year.
Tennessee got off to a slow start in their game two weeks ago against the Kentucky Wildcats, but they had no such trouble against Mizzou as they cruised to a 17-point first half. The Tigers weren't quite able to keep up, scoring 10 to make it 17-10 heading into the break. The Volunteers were outperformed in the second half 10-7 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
Tennessee QB Jarrett Guarantano was slinging it as he passed for 415 yards and two TDs on 40 attempts. WR Marquez Callaway also helped out with an impressive 110 receiving yards in the win. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 5-5.
The Volunteers will be playing at home against the Vanderbilt Commodores at 4 p.m. ET next week. Vanderbilt is also hoping to continue their momentum after a victory five weeks ago. As for the Tigers, they will face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks at 2:30 p.m. ET at War Memorial Stadium. Both of those teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses this week.
