NC State vs. Louisville: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the NC State vs. Louisville football game
The Louisville Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the NC State Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday at Carter-Finley Stadium. Louisville is currently enjoying a perfect season, with five straight wins to start things off.
Last Saturday, Louisville took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 56-28 victory over Boston College. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-14.
Louisville can attribute much of their success to Jawhar Jordan, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Jack Plummer, who threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for two yards and a touchdown. Jordan's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Ahmari Huggins-Bruce was another key contributor, picking up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, NC State sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 win over Virginia on Friday.
NC State can attribute much of their success to Brennan Armstrong, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns, and Kevin Concepcion, who picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Concepcion's performance was especially impressive as it was the first time he's surpassed the one- receiving touchdown mark this season.
The win for Louisville kept them at an undefeated 4-0. As for the opposition, NC State's win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-1.
Looking ahead, Louisville is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 3.5 points. This contest will be their fourth straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-2 against the spread).
Louisville steamrolled past NC State in their previous matchup last November by a score of 25-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Louisville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
